When you have a business, then you might want to consider having some PR done. There are so many forms of media to consider such as television advertising, social media marketing, email marketing, news articles, press releases, landing pages, website content and the list goes on and on...
Now, if your business happens to grow large enough, then you might even have to do some public speaking or host a consulting event at a hotel. The more people that are aware of your business the better!
Of course, that might be a bit stressful, so how do you go about handling the stress of public speaking? There is that age old trick of picturing the audience in their underwear, but how often does that cliche actually work? That has actually made some individuals even more nervous. So, it is a bit of a catch 22 for that matter...
You might want to try some breathing techniques a couple of hours prior to the event and even days before. Maybe even practicing in front of a mirror or a few friends and family members. This will help you get the feel for it. Basically, anything that will help you to relax for the real event.
So, once you feel confident, just hold on to that feeling and don't let go! When you are in front of the microphone, your audience and even the camera you will be great! Butterflies in your stomach won't even be an option.
