So, are you more of a techie or do you like in-person events? This is a major factor when developing, planning and scheduling an event. Basically, it comes down to this... do you want to hold a webinar or a seminar?

So, let's examine the main differences between a seminar and a webinar...

Well, a seminar is a actually a formal meeting that is held for members of a common business community. Then, the exchange of useful information is presented and delivered to colleagues.

Whereas, a webinar is ‘an interactive seminar conducted via the web. It is usually a live presentation, lecture or workshop that happens in real time (plus as an added bonus, it can be recorded and listened to again at a later date). The users are able to participate through chatting, video-chatting, file-sharing, or asking questions with a microphone.

Now, they both have their advantages and disadvantages. If you really need to meet in person, then you definitely need to go with a seminar. However, a webinar can be really convenient, if you want to have something interactive and convenient for your colleagues in different time zones.

It also really depends on your audience. Think about your target market and that will help you to make an informed decision. What is the age range, gender, demographics, etc.

In the end, no matter which approach you choose it is essential to know how to conduct both in the business world.
